Best Archers by Faction

Every faction in Calradia has a ranged option, but not all are created equal. Here is the breakdown of the best archer for each kingdom.

Battania: Fian Champion

Rank: S+ The undisputed ruler of ranged combat. They use the best bow, have the highest skill, and wreck in melee.

• Recruit at: Battanian villages attached to Castles (High Relations required).

The Fian Champion has no equal.

Vlandia: Sharpshooter

Rank: A The best crossbow unit. High damage per shot and a shield for protection.

• Recruit at: Any Vlandian settlement (Upgrade from Vlandian Levy Crossbowman).

Aserai: Master Archer

Rank: A- Very fast firing and well-armored. They are excellent in desert terrain and sieges.

• Recruit at: Aserai towns/villages.

Empire: Palatine Guard

Rank: B+ Solid, reliable, and heavily armored. They don't have the range of Fians but are very consistent.

• Recruit at: Empire towns/villages.

Khuzait: Marksman

Rank: B While Khuzaits are known for horse archers, their foot archers are decent but outclassed by the others.

Sturgia: Veteran Bowman

Rank: C Sturgia focuses on infantry. Their archers are arguably the worst noble line, but acceptable if you have nothing else.

Sturgia lags behind in ranged superiority.

Conclusion

If you want the best, go to Battania. If you want a balanced army, Empire or Vlandia are safe bets.
