XP is gained by:

• Simulating Battles: "Send Troops" gives the most consistent XP. Use it against Looters and small Bandit parties.

• Commanding Battles: Issuing orders (F1, F2, etc.) during a fight grants small amounts of XP.

• Retreating: Successfully retreating from a difficult battle.

The Tactics tree has some incredibly powerful perks:

• Horde Leader (Level 75): Increases party size by +10. This is a must-have.

• Improviser (Level 125): Reduced morale loss when losing troops.

• Call to Arms (Level 150): Lower influence cost for calling armies.

Synergy with Leadership

Tactics works best when paired with Leadership. While Tactics helps you win simulations and manage the battlefield advantage, Leadership keeps morale high and allows you to recruit more prisoners.
