Khuzait Troop Tree Guide
The Khuzait Troop Tree is unique because it offers the earliest access to mounted units. Unlike other factions where you often have to wait until Tier 3 or 4 to get cavalry, Khuzait recruits can be mounted as early as Tier 2.
The Noble Line: Khan's Guard
The Khuzait Khan's Guard is the jewel of the faction. It is arguably the most versatile and powerful unit in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord.
Progression: Khuzait Noble's Son -> Khuzait Qanqli -> Khuzait Torguud -> Khuzait Kheshig -> Khuzait Khan's Guard.
Equipment: They wear heavy armor and wield a Noble Bow for range and a Long Glaive for melee.
Role: They can kite enemies to death with arrows and then charge in to wipe out the survivors with their glaives.
The Common Line
The common recruit line splits into infantry, archers, and lancers.
1. Infantry (Darkhan)
Top Tier: Khuzait Darkhan.
Performance: Surprisingly durable. They have good armor and shields, making them decent frontline holders, though they lack the offensive punch of Sturgian or Imperial infantry.
2. Archers (Marksman)
Top Tier: Khuzait Marksman.
Performance: A solid foot archer, but often overlooked because the horse archers are so superior. Useful for garrison defense.
3. Cavalry (Heavy Lancer)
Top Tier: Khuzait Heavy Lancer.
Performance: Fast and heavily armored. They lack the ability to couch their lances (in some versions/mods), but they are excellent for flanking and chasing down fleeing enemies.
Tactical Roles
Hammer and Anvil: Use your Heavy Lancers to pin the enemy infantry while your Horse Archers circle behind them to shoot their exposed backs.
Skirmishing: If the enemy has strong pikemen, keep your distance. Use your speed to stay out of reach.
