Reputation & Relations

How relations with nobles, notables, and factions work.

Reputation & Relations

In Calradia, your reputation precedes you. Whether you are loved as a savior or feared as a tyrant, your Relations define your political options.

Clan Relations

Types of Relations

  1. Notables: Village/Town leaders. Affects recruitment. See Relationship Building with Notables.

  2. Clan Leaders: The nobles of the realm. Affects marriage acceptance, defection chance, and voting support.

  3. Kingdoms: Determines War/Peace status.

Gaining Relations with Clans

  • Battle Support: Join a lord's battle and save them. This yields massive relation gains.

  • Voting: When part of a kingdom, spend Influence to vote for a clan to receive a fief. They will remember this.

  • Prisoner Release: After a battle, if you capture a lord, choose "You are free to go." This gives +Honor and significant relation.

  • Gifts: Use the Barter screen to give Denars or items.

Helping Allies

Losing Relations

  • Executions: Chopping off heads is the fastest way to make the whole world hate you. See Execution & Honor System.

  • Raiding: Raiding a clan's village destroys your relation with them.

  • Kingdom Decisions: Voting against a clan or revoking their fiefs.

The Charm Skill

High Charm acts as a multiplier for all relation gains. It also allows you to persuade lords to defect to your side when Creating Your Own Kingdom.
